Alex and Jamie are on opposite sides of the room. Their badges quietly listen for each other.
As they get close, the badges compare goals and interests on the spot.
Both badges buzz. Both show why to talk. Nobody makes a cold approach.

10FAQ
NexSwap makes smart name badges that match people at events in real time. When two well-matched attendees are near each other, both badges buzz and show the same reason to talk, so nobody has to make a cold approach. NexSwap is based in Singapore.
Events where people come to meet each other: community meetups, mixers and networking nights, startup and alumni events, and conferences and expos. So far it has run at a founders' networking night, a game festival and a university open house.
Yes. Every matched pair gets a game for two on their badges, such as Bae or Nay, two truths and a lie, a trivia duel, find-someone-who bingo, plan a weekend or a 60-second pitch. Badges can also wear a theme for the night, such as murder mystery. Unlike most icebreaker games, nobody needs a host and nobody has to stop what they're doing.
Each badge holds its wearer's interests and what they can offer or are looking for. The badges listen for each other over Bluetooth LE and compare profiles on the badge itself. When a good match is close by, both badges buzz and show the same match sign.
No. At check-in, attendees tap the badge, scan its code with their phone camera and fill a short web profile. Setup takes about a minute and needs no app and no account.
The badge shows a first name, plus company and role if the attendee adds them. After the event, contact details such as LinkedIn are shared only between two people who matched. NexSwap is designed to be PDPA-friendly.
4 to 6 hours on one charge: a full evening event or a conference afternoon.
Organisers pay per event, priced by attendee count. NexSwap brings the badges, sets them up at check-in and takes them home afterwards. Venues such as coworking spaces and bars can also lease a fleet.
NexSwap launched at Hustle Haven at SUTD in September 2024, ran its first pilot at The 100 Club × Monk's Brew Club in Singapore in October 2024, was an official networking tool at the Indonesia Game Festival in December 2024, and was shown at SUTD Open House in March 2025.
A badge scan records a walk-past. NexSwap records an exhibitor lead only when both the attendee and the booth opt in, so exhibitors get fewer, better leads.
